Problem

When the application starts it crashes with an unhandled exception?

Solution

  1. Ensure the registry key-based configuration is correct (HKCU/Software/Covata/SafeShare)
  2. Ensure the server configuration of secure-sync application is correct (SafeShare Administrator needs to check)
  3. Ensure the / status page of the Access Service returns an expected string like 2.15.1170, OK.

Escalation

It can be configuration of computer or application.

Check enough memory on disk / check network connections.

Whenever there is an error message - take a copy of the text of the error message if the error contains useful information.

  1. Restart application
  2. See issue occurs again
  3. Restart the computer
  4. Reinstall the client.
